Reagan is known as the American president who had the greatest contribution to the destruction of the trade union movement in the USA. In the 1930s, a large part of the workers were union members, while today only 6% of them are unionized.
The lack of a large-scale trade union movement can also be seen here, and the consequences are very serious. Last week several news from the labor field and the reaction to them showed how unprepared the Romanian society is in the face of an over-liberalization on the “labor market” from which only corporations will benefit.
